Rehabilitation Project for IDF Wounded Soldiers

About Us

The Sdot Yam Sailing Club is the largest competitive sailing club in Israel. Founded in 1955, it has trained hundreds of sailors from Sdot Yam and surrounding areas over the years.
Today, the club is a national leader in terms of performance. Its sailors achieve significant results and are among the best in sailing, both in Israel and internationally. The club is proud to have among its members European champions, world champions, as well as Gal Fridman, the bronze medalist at the Atlanta Olympic Games and Israel’s first Olympic gold medalist at the Athens Games.
Our groups, whether competitive or recreational, operate year-round and cover various areas of sailing, from learning basic dinghy sailing and windsurfing to hosting the Israeli national teams in Olympic categories.
In numbers, our club includes more than 230 active competitive sailors and about 100 children enrolled in various courses and water activities.

In recent months, in light of the situation in Israel, the Rahaf Association has been offering IDF wounded rehabilitation through water sports, which empowers them and helps them cope with everyday challenges. In addition, the organization collaborates with the Tom Kol Farm in Aviel. Within the framework of this collaboration, participants receive emotional support through integration into agricultural work, shared cooking, music, yoga, and other hobbies. The combination of agricultural activity and a supportive environment strengthens self-confidence and helps build life skills, all with the guidance of a professional and experienced team.
